From any point in the program you may access the computer's basic "Word Pad" word processor.  When you click the Word Processor button, the program will open the Windows "Word Pad" program (SimpleText on the Mac).  After saving the file to the hard disk it can be accessed later by any  word processor of your choice. Clicking the "ALT"+"Tab" buttons will toggle  between the CD and desktop for access to any other application.
